* Elegant · Textured · Subtle · Honeyed · Almond
The Story: Forget the overly buttery, oaky Chardonnays of the past — here, the volume is turned down. This single-barrel 2024 Reserve Chardonnay, aged in subtle Hungarian oak, offers restraint and elegance.
Barrel-fermented and aged on lees, it delivers delicate notes of lemon, honey, and a creamy almond-marzipan nuance. The wine’s texture and structure are the stars, supported by gentle oak and a refined mouthfeel, allowing the fruit to speak with clarity.
Modestly, probably the most expressive Chardonnays I’ve made in 15 years.
Perfect With: Soft, flavoursome cheeses such as washed-rind varieties, or richer seafood, chicken, or pork dishes. Serve at 14–16°C to reveal its layered texture and subtle aromatics.
