A medium-bodied style shiraz that identifies as a sangiovese! Red cherry with a lightly spiced/pepper finish. Reflecting cooler growing conditions in the years after the drought. Open-fermented and hand-plunged, the wine was recovered without pressing and aged in used American hogshead barrels for 12 months. Minimally fined and filtered. 60 cases produced. Drink now until 2027.
Best enjoyed: Pair with tomato-based dishes, a mid-week pasta or wood-fired pizza, and best served cool but not cold between 12 and 15 degrees.
