The Story: In 2023, nature got it just right — warm days, cool nights, and a long, even ripening period produced grapes of remarkable depth and intensity.
Made from two small vineyard batches north and south of Mudgee, each reflects subtle differences in microclimate and soil. Carefully blended 60:40, the wine offers late-ripening Cabernet richness with dark berry characters of black cherry, blackberry, and cassis, framed by a structure that promises both elegance and depth. The fruit gave itself, my role was to nurture and guide it into the bottle.
Perfect With: Beef in all its forms, hard cheeses like cheddar, or a fine dark chocolate. Serve at 16–20°C, and decant to allow the wine to breathe and reveal its full aromatic and textural richness.
